I semi enjoyed a tea party this weekend with my two bff's, my mom, and my brother. (I think my brother was just there for the food, honestly, but he's got long hair, so he was allowed.) I think next year I'll require tea hats. (Insert evil laugh here.) I say semi enjoyed because I came down with a nasty stomach bug (courtesy of my boys) just as the party was starting. What's a girl to do? Take a couple of shots of Jack Daniels and pour some more in your iced tea of course! I didn't get to enjoy any of the tasty cookies or appetizers I made, but the alcohol seemed to quell the hellishness that had arisen in my stomach. For the record, it was a successful attempt. I was the only one who got the bug who didn't throw up. Next time I think I'll go for some vodka.
I was also planning on posting pics of the new aprons I made, but rolling tummies don't do well for good photos. I'll try my best to get them up this week, but no promises. I also got all my other handiworks together. Paintings that my hubby decided to put in the garage had to be de-spidered. (You all know I thouroughly cringed at this one.) I got all my drawings mounted on foam board so you can't see any of the creases now. Only 2 1/2 weeks, people! This craft fair is going to be awesome. My wonderful neighbor was nice enough to give me a stash of material she didn't want, so I've got enough to kick out a few more aprons before then.
We're heading out to Lake Arrowhead this weekend for a relaxing camping experience. We will eventually hit up all the state parks, but there's a lot of them, so it's going to take some time. If I keep this up, I'll have to create a seperate blog just for that! (You know you want more of me anyway. :D ) I'll come back with pictures. Just pray it doesn't rain on us. We've had gorgeous weather for weeks, and of course this is the one weekend where rain is forecasted.
BTW, the Rangers are now up 2-1 against the Yankees. If our team goes to the World Series, don't think we won't all be smiles in zombie land. :D
You should try the opposite of all remedies. Upset stomach? Drink alcohol. Sunburn? More sun! Insomnia? Scary movies and loud music!
ReplyDeleteBusy, busy busy. Can't wait to see pics of your aprons. Good luck with the craft fair. I've always wanted (not still haven't) put up a table at one of those. Yay, for the state parks and camping...sounds like lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Sure wish I could go see your work. Where is this craft fair being held, maybe my daughter would like to go.
ReplyDeleteHope ya feeling better.
Have fun at the lake!
Straight Guy, I think I'll try that! Actually, if I can't sleep, I watch TV. It never fails that I'm snoozing within minutes. :)
ReplyDeleteSuziCate, I'm working on getting pics up this week. I know you'll love them.
Heather, the craft fair is in Saginaw at one of the elementary schools. Let me know, and I'll shoot you the address if your daughter wants to come.
