Thank you all for bearing with me this past week with no posts. I have felt like my head is going to explode, which doesn't bode well when you're trying to think.
I have been working feverishly trying to get several art projects done, and really feel as if I have gotten nowhere. I spent the full 6 hours in ceramics Saturday, and all I did was get several pieces glazed - nothing actually built. I will spend a good portion of my free time over spring break trying to get some of my assignments done. However, all my cylinders I threw on the wheel are now glazed, and at least half of them have been fired. I will glaze the mugs I made this next week. I have taken pictures of all of them, but I want to post them together once they are finished.
I finished up a still life in painting Wednesday, which I will take pictures of and post. I still have not finished my other painting, though I did get quite a bit of work done on it last week. Hopefully, I can finish it up in the next couple of weeks. I'm tired of working on it, honestly. I just realized I never posted my first assignment up here, so I will do that below. It's a copy of another painting (don't ask me who did it originally) but I think it came out pretty good.
I'm also posting 2 new pictures that I did in the past and completely forgot to put up. :D (You know you love me too much to hate me!)
The first is soft pastel done on pastel paper. I did this one in highschool. It brought 2nd place in the art show, and I was offered $20 for it, but thought it was worth more than that. It now hangs in my kitchen.
This second one I did a few years ago in acrylic. It is hanging in my front bathroom with all the dragons and fairies. I know, I know, I'll have to put pictures of the bathroom up. The problem is, it's not finished completely. I'm still working on some hardware and a new shower curtain. Perhaps that will all be short coming.
Have a great Monday, and hopefully I'll have something interesting to post tomorrow. :)

Glad you're feeling better! I've been a little MIA myself lately so totally understand! Your art is beautiful. Seriously. I'm not just saying that in a total blogger friend way. I mean it. Really. Keep posting your pics. =)

Honey, you've got some real talent! I love the 3-dimensional aspect of the ball...and the fruit? I would have sworn it was a photograph!
ReplyDeleteLove the fairies as well.
You are SO creative!
Mindy, thanks! It's been so crazy both at work and home that it's becoome difficult for me to keep up with my minions, I mean followers. :D
ReplyDeleteKathryn, you are so sweet! I'll keep putting them up, just cause you asked me to.
