Today begins Holy Week on the Christian calendar, and I'm happy it's finally here. I have been thoroughly stressed throughout Lent that culminated in a near mental breakdown for me last week. I won't be in the blog world most of this week, as I will try to spend at least some of my time in prayer and quietness. (good luck there!) I have 3 services to prepare stuff for, and possibly a fourth. I've got my fingers crossed that this marks the year we don't have a funeral pop up mid week. This week is also going to be difficult because it's the end of the month, which has its own issues as we all know. (The month is supposed to start on Monday not Thursday! No questions!)
I do have some wonderful news to share. My cousin's wife gave birth to a healthy little girl yesterday afternoon. They named her Georgia Paige. I haven't had the chance to speak to or see them, mostly because they're 3 hours away, but I hope to see them all soon. It's exciting to know there's another little one in the family, and as this is my aunt's and uncle's first granchild, it makes it that much more wonderful.
I have completed a great number of my assignments in ceramics, FINALLY! (How long have you people been waiting to see these, anyway?) All but one of my cylinders have been glazed and fired, and I have 5 mugs and 6 bowls ready to be glazed and fired. (She won't let me take the cylinders home until all of them are done.) I'm hoping to get to the studio sometime this week before my painting class to get those done in time for Saturday, so I don't have to mess with them anymore.
Speaking of painting class, I should have 2 paintings finished today, and hopefully pictures up sometime this week. I'll be starting on my next assignment, an abstract, on Wednesday. I already have an idea for that one, so I think it will probably only take one class to get it done. I will get a picture of my masterpiece mashup on here sometime this week as well. I'm not finished with it, but it will at least give you all an idea of what I've been working on.
Finally, my father in law has been gracious enough to get into the harddrive on my laptop and get to my documents, saving them from being lost forever. It now looks as if Windows corrupted itself (I know, big surprise there). I may now be able to reformat my harddrive, resurrecting it to be of use once again, hopefully before Easter. :D
I hope everyone has a quiet, stressfree week leading up to Easter, and that you all can enjoy some wonderful springtime temps and weather.
Happy Holy Week! I'm ALL for quiet and stress-free. Spring break's over in this neck of the woods so that's almost a no-brainer! =)

I'm sure that for a quiet and reflective week, it's quite crazy in the church. I hope you are able to obtain your own solitude. Sounds like you've gotten a lot accomplished in the creative arena!
